DURABILITY

The CT2K is built completely with carbon fiber technology. Instead of having a Gel coat finish (which is not UV resistant), the CT2K has a 2 component polyurethane finish which is highly resistant to UV exposure and very durable.

Carbon fiber aircraft construction offers great advantages in terms of strength, durability, weight-savings, corrosion-resistance, and fatigue-resistance. For these reasons, this modern method of aircraft construction has become increasingly popular for civilian, military and commercial aircraft – as well as for airliners – with carbon fiber being used for complete aircraft or simply for highly-stressed structural components. The use of carbon fiber for aviation is increasing very rapidly, despite the substantially higher costs of carbon fiber construction compared to conventional aluminum/rivet construction.

A modern airplane should be built with modern technology!

* data for CT2K with Wingtips in 1,000 ft. ICAO standard atmosphere with wheel pants and landing gear strut fairings and variable fixed-pitch prop.

** US-Version allows maximum speed 210 km/h, because of different engine and propeller configuration.

Explanations concerning rated speeds:

  • VNE 310 km/h may be given with maximum application of 1/3 rudder
  • VNO 270 km/h is the max. permitted cruising speed according to German BfU 95 certification standard.
